  • Parks Revitalized:  Led recent park and recreation investments with upgrade of fields, facilities, a new registration system and expansion of the city's green network to over 1,000 acres of parkland.

  • It's Your Money: Strengthened Roswell’s financial position with fiscal discipline while investing in the future by prioritizing public safety, parks and recreation.

  • Family Focused-Growth: Protected our neighborhoods by changing the zoning code to bring vibrant mixed-use destinations instead of stand-alone apartments, bringing in businesses creating hundreds of new quality jobs for Roswell.

  • Riverfront Renewal: Partnered with multiple environmental agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to stabilize the Chattahoochee riverbank, restore natural wetlands, and preserve river forests inviting families to reconnect with the riverfront.

  • Responsive Proven Leadership: Created the bond-project dashboard for greater accountability and transparency, instituted public operations and budget quarterly reviews.

​Raised in a small town, Will was shaped by the values of service, accountability and respect.  These principles guided his early career as a state bank examiner and now define his work as a partner in a small business in the mortgage industry. Trained to uphold the highest standards of independence and integrity, Will brings both financial expertise and government insight to his council role.

 

Will graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Business Administration and Management.  Will, his wife Jennifer, and their two children are deeply rooted in the Roswell community, actively engaging in city life through youth sports and volunteer initiatives.  Service is a family tradition, with the Morthland family often seen volunteering together at community events, cleanups, and local projects.
